Find your next SEO fix

Find your next SEO fix—and understand what to do about it.

Run a free one-page audit to find issues that may affect how search engines understand your page—and get practical next steps.

Use a public HTTPS page you own or have permission to review. Leave out query parameters, fragments and login details.

No signup. No card. Three successful one-page audits per domain in total, shared across pages and subdomains. Failed scans do not use an audit. Service-wide limits apply.

After the scan, your findings open in a results report. Cove does not change your website.

Real first-party demonstration

See how a finding becomes a next action.

This is a dated check of Cove’s own public pricing page using the same HTML analysis rules as its audit. It demonstrates a low-priority review item, not a customer result or a prediction of search performance.

Captured November 4, 2026 · one page’s server HTML · Cove SEO pricing page. A snapshot can differ from the current page.

Meta description: review the page summary

Low priority · heuristic
Evidence from the page
Description is 40 characters.
Why it matters
A useful description can explain the page and next step when a search engine chooses to show it. Search engines may select other text.
Why this priority?
Cove flags a description outside 70–170 characters as Low priority. This is a review heuristic, not a search-engine requirement or a prediction of traffic impact.
Recommended action
Review the summary for clarity and relevance; search engines may use a different snippet.
How to verify your change
After saving your change, inspect the page’s description meta tag in its HTML. Recheck when eligible, then review whether the summary accurately describes the page. A longer description is not automatically better.
Your next step
Review the summary in your own website editor. If you want help writing, a paid Cove section rewrite costs 5 shared credits. Review the wording and apply it yourself.

The evidence and suggested fix come from Cove’s HTML checker. The rationale, priority explanation and verification guidance are added here to explain this demonstration. Server HTML does not render JavaScript or establish search rankings, backlink coverage or AI citations.

From a concern to an informed action

A finding is a starting point. You choose the change.

  1. Audit a page. Submit a public HTTPS URL for technical page checks.
  2. Understand the finding. Review the observed evidence, priority and suggested fix. Check that the recommendation fits the page’s purpose.
  3. Choose an action. Make changes in your website editor, ask a developer for help, or use Cove’s paid tools when writing is the task. Review AI-generated drafts before use.
  4. Recheck or review performance. Recheck while free audits remain, or use subscriber audits. Growth and Agency can compare imported Search Console weeks. A page recheck and a performance report answer different questions.

Detection, recommendations, drafting and publishing are separate steps. An audit does not automatically fix or publish your website.

Free audit → your next action

Fix one issue yourself. Add a workflow when you need it.

Your free report is available without an account or email address. You can apply its suggestions yourself. Paid workspace tools require an account and an active subscription.

Need to review more pages?

Subscriber audits check up to 5, 10 or 15 pages per audit, depending on your plan, and save results. Audits are limited to ten requests per account per UTC day; failed attempts may count toward that daily limit.

Need help with the next draft?

Use shared credits for keyword ideas, article drafts or section rewrites. Edit and verify the result, then apply it in your site editor or export it. Indexing and canonical settings may need a developer.

Working in WordPress?

Growth and Agency send a saved article as a draft to a compatible WordPress site. Review formatting and publish from WordPress. This does not update an existing page automatically.

Coordinating client work?

Agency adds assigned approvals for saved article versions and branded performance reports to print or save as PDF.

Compare workflows, limits and prices →

Page caps describe each audit’s scope, not a complete crawl of a large website. Extra credits do not unlock higher-tier features or override service limits.

Choose the workflow you’ll actually use.

Start with your brand count, pages per audit and likely monthly actions. Starter supports one brand’s audit and content workflow. Growth adds WordPress drafts and imported search reporting. Agency adds assigned client approvals and branded performance reports.

Every plan includes hosted Cove publishing and scheduling, editable drafts and Markdown export. WordPress sends create drafts; Search Console reports use supplied CSV files. Marketing Autopilot and extra credits are separate purchases.

Annual plans receive a fresh pool each month. All prices are USD; review the final amount and renewal schedule at checkout.

For example, 10 drafts, 10 section rewrites, 30 idea requests, 20 helper messages and 100 on-demand keyword checks use 400 credits. Starter’s 500-credit monthly pool would leave 100.

Monthly plan credits refresh on your subscription anniversary and do not roll over. Annual plans receive a new pool each month. Purchased credits do not expire, but an active subscription is required to use them.

Buy 100 extra shared credits for $10. Separate live keyword-check packs have their own balance: 200 for $10, 600 for $25 or 1,250 for $50. Both purchased balances have no expiry.

The calculator covers the priced content actions above. Audits have a separate daily request limit. A failed or retried paid action may have a credit return recorded in its receipt; check that receipt before retrying. Provider availability and service budgets still apply.

Excludes website audits, scheduled tracking and separate keyword-check balances. Does not account for credit returns, rollover or optional purchases.

Growth and Agency

Check page readiness for AI discovery.

Cove evaluates signals in public server HTML: indexing and snippet instructions, topic clarity, readable explanations, source links and entity context. Its score is a weighted heuristic, not a probability of appearing in an AI answer.

Actual mentions and citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity or other platforms are not measured. Link presence does not verify source accuracy. Review the evidence, confirm each finding and choose changes that help readers understand the page.

Separate optional subscriber add-on

Already reviewing performance? Add Marketing Autopilot.

A rolling 30-day action framework and scheduled reviews of the organic website and social metrics you import. You choose which recommendations to apply.

$29 per month per activated brand, or $278.40 annually, paid upfront ($23.20/month equivalent). An active Starter, Growth or Agency subscription is billed separately. The add-on does not expand your brand allowance.

One website and up to four social profiles per activated brand. Import the supported CSV formats from Search Console, GA4, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Fourteen complete daily observations are needed for comparisons.

Default daily lightweight checks and weekly detailed reviews require your permission. Checks review imported data; they do not create fresh source data. This add-on does not sync social accounts, publish social posts, buy advertising or generate commercials. Optional drafts and rewrites use your existing shared credits; imported-data reviews do not.

Stop renewal from the add-on’s workspace card. Your core subscription and its publishing/automation permissions remain separate.

Understand the evidence behind the recommendation.

Technical findings come from server-HTML checks. A low, medium or high priority reflects Cove’s detection rules, not a forecast of traffic or revenue impact. Search and performance metrics name their separate data sources and depend on coverage. Missing values remain unavailable.

Use the report as a focused review. Cove does not guarantee rankings, traffic growth, AI citations or search inclusion.

Before you start.

What does the free audit check?

One public page’s fetched HTML is checked for items such as its title, description, headings, canonical URL, indexing instructions, image alt attributes, viewport tag and invalid JSON-LD. Findings include evidence, priority and suggested fixes.

What does it not check?

It does not render JavaScript or assess every SEO factor across your whole website. Ranking, backlink, search-volume and Core Web Vitals measurements depend on separately identified sources and may be unavailable. Missing data is not zero. The audit does not guarantee rankings, traffic or AI citations.

Can I fix the issues myself?

Yes. Apply relevant suggestions in your own website editor. Some settings may need a developer. Verify that a recommendation fits the page’s intended purpose; deliberately private pages should not be made indexable just to improve a score.

Do I need to connect my website?

The free audit uses a public URL without a CMS login. WordPress draft delivery is a separate Growth or Agency workflow requiring a compatible public HTTPS WordPress REST API, IPv4 and an application password. That password is used for the send and is not saved. WordPress.com’s separate API is not supported.

How do free and subscriber audit limits differ?

The free tool allows three successful one-page audits per domain in total, shared across pages and subdomains. Failed free scans release the domain slot. Subscriber audits allow up to 5 pages with Starter, 10 with Growth or 15 with Agency, with ten requests per account per UTC day. Those daily requests are reserved before scanning, so failed subscriber attempts may still count.

What consumes credits?

Article drafts and automation drafts use 20 shared credits; section rewrites use 5; keyword idea requests, signed-in helper messages and on-demand Google keyword checks use 1 each. Audits use their separate daily request allowance. Check the action receipt for debits and any return after a failure; a new retry is a separate request.

What gets published, and when?

The audit publishes nothing. Publish now releases an article on your Cove publication; scheduling releases in a daily window beginning at 10:00 UTC while your subscription is active. Automatic publication requires separate explicit consent. WordPress receives a draft for review and publication there. Agency assigned approvals apply to the requested saved version, and editing requires a new review.

Can I cancel?

Cancel renewal in Manage billing; access continues through your paid period. The published 14-day refund policy covers your first subscription payment, not later renewals. Marketing Autopilot renewal is managed separately from its workspace card.

What happens to my reports and data?

Free results have a seven-day expiry, shown on the report. Providing an email is optional; emailed audit copies and delivery records are retained for up to 35 days under the Privacy notice. Account content is retained as needed to provide the service and meet obligations. Export useful work before cancelling and contact support about access, export or deletion.
